BRITAIN BUYS U.S. ENGINES
Received Mondav, 10.50 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 3. Britain is buying 10,000 20-horse-power American engines for incorporation into agricultural ma'chinery made *n Britain, says tlie Daily Telegraph's motoring editor. Sir Stafford Cripps has opproved the deal and licensed the release of a large sum of money «ntailed in the pui'chaee which will be paid in dollars. The viee-chajrman of the Nuffield organisation, Sir Miles Thomas, said he was surprised such a deal should be considered wise or necessary.
