MOTOR CYCLE STRIKES BACK OF TRUCK

CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 2. A motor eyclist was killed and a pillion rider injured when a motor cycle ran into the back of a truck on Lincoln Road on Saturday afternoon. Killed: Alfred Rolaud Stephens, uf 51 McBratneys Road. Injured: Allan Baskett, pf 2(id Wor cester Street. The aecident occurred about 4.25 p.ru. The truck, which was being driveii to ward the city by Mf. Mansell Albert Parsons, had just passed the Mental Hospital, Lincoln Road, when on en countering another vehicle parked be side the road, it stopped to allow a tfain to pass. The truck had just bcgun to move forward again when the motor cycle struck it from the rear.
