HAMILTON, Icb. 2. Wlieu a taxi and motor cvclo coliidet; on Saturday inoining on the ('ainbridge Tirau main highway, the driver of tin. motor cycle and pillion rider were fatally injured. They were: Mr. Dennis Hollis, aged 19, of Puke atua Street, Rotorua. Mr. Daniel Farnworth, aged 19, oi Pukaki Street, Rotorua. The driver of the taxi was Mr. Cyrn T. Olarkin, O 'Neill Street, Claudelands. The youths were proeeeding towan. Cambridge and swerved to overtake a car just ahead. In recovering position on the left hand side of the road, the motor cyelist was left With insuffieienl rooni to avoid the taxi which was ea route to Matamata. The motor cyoh struck the right mudguard of the taxi and the impact caused it to career along the • road for a chain or two be fore it came to rest. Both the drivei and pillion rider catapulted on to the road and' were badly injured, botii dying in the Waikato Hospital ou Saturday night.
