UPSET IN PLACING OF GIRLS' MARCHING TEAMS
RESULTS ' MAY BE ALTERED Since the reSults of the girls' iiiarching competitions a.t the Horowhenua A. and P. JissociatiOh's night- show were announced a possibie error in the aggregation of points has been found, and it is likely that the original placings may be very materially altered in consequence. . The eomnetitions deeided were the Horowhenua championship, the open championship and leadersy contest. The announcement of the placings caused some siirprise among a Section of the spectators* who were of the opinion that certain of the results were not in keeping with the relative displays by the teams. Owing to a misunderstartding it is stated that the points were ineorrectly totalled in accordance with the . ruies Of the New Zealand Marching and Recreational Association. The possibility of an error having occurred was not discovered until yesterday^ and it caused a flutter in Horowhenua Marching and A. and P. Association circles. The matter has now been referred to the New Zealand Marching and Recreational Association for a decision, and meanwniie puolication of the results has been withheld.
