OLD PUPILS' RE-UNION A meeting of persons interested n the Otaki State School fs annual eunion was held on Thursday ' lighfc, Mr. H. Taylor presiding. - Mr. Ray Bills, secretary, stated ;hat he had received much encourigement ' since the movement ■ vas started, and several letters 1 vere read from far afield showihg lonsiderable interest and promising iupport. One letter was read from Mr. Inia Tewiata, stating he would ] 3e pleased to become a life merriDer, and that he would ' also be J pleased to be present at the funeJon. ' '' • ( It was stated that a grand 1 teunion dance would be held at thc Railway Hall on Friday, FebruUry L4, while on the evening following bhere would be an open air concert in the school grounds. A l'eading Wellington orchestra was expected to provide the music for the dance. • Elaborate preparations were in train cor this, and the functi'on is cxpected to be a great success, especially as many promises of support had been made from var'ious parts of the town and district, ; as well as from further afield. It was reported that the band would be in attendance. Distinctive metal badges would , be provided at 4s each, life membership would be £1 ls, wnile' ribbons would also be made available.
