CLOTHES FOR CORSO
LARGE DRIVE PLANNED The local committee of CORSO' has planned an extensivd clothes drive as its first large-sCale .effort following xa decision to redouble its efforts to assist iii the relief oi distress in war stricken areas. Particular attention is beihg paid to China, which is s&id to be ih dire lieed of assistance. The drive, which will take place on Saturday, February 15, Will be under the direction of Messrs. H. L. Jenkiiis arid ' W. W. Benfeil, who will be assisted by members of the CORSO committee, boy scouts and girl guides. An appeal is made to all those who would be willing to assist by making available their cars or cars and trailers. All those vho can assist in this mahner are asked to contact Mr. Jenkins at the Borough Gouncil offices, The cause is one which is deServing of wholehearted public support. No contribution is too small asj every article of clothing which 4an be spared will be ihvaluable. New Zealand owes a great debt to China, and assistance of this natiire Wiil be received with gratitude and go -a long way in cementing lasting goodwiil between the two countries.
