NO HOPE OF AGREEMENT
ANGLO-EGYPTIAN NEGOTIATIONS Receivecl Friday, 10.45 a.m. CAIRO, Jan. 23. The Anglo-Egyptian negotiations have faiied and the Egyptian Government no longer entertains the slightest hope that the parties will arrive at any agreement, stated a prominent Egyptian official. He added that "otu* recourse to United Nations is now inevitable." The 1936 treaty had died a natural death and every Egyptian regarded it as null and void.
