WASH1NGTON, Jan. 18. As part of liis budget-balanciug driie, President Trunian asked Cougress to repeal appropriations of 063,888,579 dollars, including 132,000,000 dollars of spending authorisations. The White House issued a statement that the 563,888,579 dollars was additional to iivc previous recoinnieml'ations for reductions in appropriations made but i'ound not to be nceded. These others, which ineluded great slashes in army and navy approiiriatious, redueed tho net authorised Federal progranime by more than 64,000,000,000 dollars. Tlie statement added tlial appropriations for United States' partieipation in Unrra would not be disturbed by the President 's repeal requests.
