Swimining the race. of his career, thc National sprint champion, Frank O'Neill, led all the way to win the New South Wales 110 vards freestyle title in (51.4 seconds. The other contestants finished almost together. O 'Neill 's time was four-iifths of a second outaide the rccord but his time for the hundred — 54.9 seconds — bettered the previous New South Wales record held jointly by the New Zealander, W. Cameron, and P. Hooper. RaljJ) Wright (U.S.A.) shattered Percy Oliver 's Australian 330 yards medley record by 9.2 seconds, covering the distanc.e. in 4 minutes 10.S seconds.
