Although it is conlirmed in Lyndon , that Britain's reqiest. for 150,000 tons of wheat and flour from America during Febi-uary has lieeu reduced by the j United »Stales Department of Agriculture of 74,000 tous of wheat and flour, j pius 17,000 tons of corn, it is not exi pected that this will mean any redue- ! tion in the present British bread ration. It is admitted, however, that the cut will prevent any efforts to replenish the British reserve stocks. The biggest American flour and grain shipment during February will go to the Anglo-Aineriean Zone of Germany, which will receive 119,000 tons of wheat, 80,000 tons of flour and 102,000 tons of corn. The British alloeation is even lower tlian that for January, which was 104,000 tons of wheat and flour and j 16,000 tons of coarse grains. British Food Mission oflicials in the United fStates are inaking vigorous representations to the American Government. It is admitted, however, that the increased alloeation to (lermany relieves Britain of a potential burdcn.
