TEST OF GIANT AIR LINER

The Army Air Force annoimced that test flights will be made in April of the Coiisolidated Aifcraft Company's giaiit XC 99, wofld'g largest air transport capabie of carrying 100 passengers of 100,000 poitnds of cargo 8000 miles. The aircraft has six 3000 h.p. engin.es driving propelloi's momited on the wings. -The aifcraft^ whichwill crttise at 300 miles an hour, weighs 265,000 lbs, has a wingspread of 230 feet, a length of 182 feet and a tail 57 feet high.
