CHIEF STEWARDS APPOINTED The Horowhenua A. and P. Association's general committee, at a meeting this week, appointed the chief stewards for its annual show on January 31 and February 1. Those selefcted are as follows: — Ring marsnal, Mr. J. Blenkhorn; horses, Mr. S. W. Barber; all cattle, Mr. ' H. J. Lancaster;' Jerseys, Mr. J. Elvidge; ' Ayrshires, Mr. ' K. Knight; Friesians, Mr. G. C. Knight; Shorthorns, Mr. A. Bryant; grade dairy cattle, left to cattle committee; sheep, Mr. J. W. Gimblett: pigs, Mr. W. M. Williams; dog trials, Mr. J. H. Mungavin; home industries, Mrs. S. Speedy; . Highland dancing, Mr. J. A. Goodwin and town committee; parking, Automobile Association; gates, Mr. G. D. Harris: guessing competition, Mr. J. Blenkhorn; trucking, Messrs. Read Bros.; sideshows, town committee; paddocking, Messrs. R. W. Evans, G. D. Harris, H. J. Lancaster and S. B. Mexted; cartage of feed, Mr. C. R. Church; nightwatchman, Mr. C. Mudgway; hot water, Mr. J. Halberg.; flring, Mr. G. D. Harris; milk, Messrs. A. L. Newell and J. W. Gimblett. Messrs. J. A. Kilsby, H. J. Lancaster and S. B. Mexted were appointed as the protest committee.
