Australia had difticulty in keeping her 1946 contract with New Zealand, said Mr. Webb. The crop was uneven in the different Staites and that tlireAV a heavy burden on internal transport. Trans-Tasman nhipping had also been difficult. New Zealand had been obliged to take some flour instead of wheat because it had been 011 the seaboard when shipping was ftyailable.
