PRICES CONTINllE FIRM Messrs Townsend and Paul, Ltd., fruit and produce merchants, Wellington, report that since the holid&,ys only small supplies of stone fruits have been offered in. all instahces,, values for quality. lihes remaining' firrn. Loganberries, raspberries and tomatoes have also been sought, values showing an improvement on our last quotations, m spite of large quantities of flowers being offered, values remain steady. Most varieties of vegetables have also been in demand, but a decided drop in values was evident for beans and peas. Greens, such as cabbage, cauliflowers, etc., have been sought. Smaller yardings of poultry have met good competition and consequently values have been maintained. Quotations are: Plums (dessert) ceiling price, (others) 6s, 10s 6d; apricots 10s 6d, 31s; peaches ceiling; cherries 30s, 45s; gooseberry Is, ls 4d; red currants ls 4d, ls 8d; loganberries 2s, 3s 6d; strawberries 3s, 6s lb;' tomatoes, red, ls 6d, 2s 4d, coloured ls 4d, ls lOd lb. All citrus ceiling. Camations 3s, _6s; gladioli 2s, 7s; Sweet William 3d, 6d; prims 6d, 2s dozen; poppies 6d, 2s ptoss. All foliage 'good demand.
