Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Robertson. who have been on a motor tour of -'the north, have returned home. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ryder, who have been- spendirig a holiday in Otaki, retiirn to their home at Wellington today. Mrs. Cameron, nee Miss Lucy Guy, of Te.Horo, now of Papakura, who has been spending a holiday in Otaki, has left for her home. Mr. D..R. Brown, of Palmerston North, . is- at - present relieVing Mr. H. J.. Henderson, clerk of the court. at Otaki and Levin. The latter will be on holiday for three weeks. Canon and Mrs. Robertshawe and their family are staying at the Otaki Vicarage. The vicar, Canon Fry, is exchanging duties for next Sunday with Canon Robertshawe. Mrs. Bell, of Mill Road, who has been in hospital in Palmerston North, has been discharged from the institution much benefited by the treatment received. Mrs. ■ Isherwood and her son, Michael, who have been in Wairoa, are at present in Otaki, prior to leaving to take. up residence in Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Nash, for some years residents of Otaki, recently celebrated their golden wedding, when a number of relatives and friends were present to participate in the .gathering. Word has been received bv Mr. E. B. K. (Ted) Bell that the Otaki and Porirua Trusts Board has awarded ,his daughter, Mani, a scholarship at' Hukarere for two years, beginning next year. The value of the scholarship is the college fees and extras, and a sum of £5 to be paid at the beginning of each year to meet the cost of travelling expenses. The board will also pay up to £20 towards the cost of clothing this year, and next year up to £10.
