The iniion leaders plan to distrihute a pamphlet setting out their elaims, ihe, purposes i'o r which they are eontinuing to resist pressui'e from the Government, and their view of Ihe liegotiations so far conducted. - No further development in .the dispute, however, is yet apparent-^ The • national president of -the. Waterside Workers' Union, Mly Barnes, of Auehland, Said that he did not expect there would be a further change in the situation until the national council of the union meets on Tuesday. Whether the Government intends to take further aetion beii'orr Tuesday is not yet appareht, but the forces opposed to the union attach gr.eat significanee .to Tuesday 's meet ing, claiming that the national officials wull be outjvoted and that the coulic.il will Jfavour a return to normal hours. ; They appear to be depending upoii i'this meeting for the next development. | The union leaders, however, are confident that unity will be maintained and that when. they have stated their case to the other see; tions of the rauk and tile of the trade union movement they will tind support. Thirty-three members representing all ports will .be attending next Tuesday 's eonference of the union 's national council. It is all urgcntly called special conforence and will discuss every aspect of the dispute.
