Small Eclipse of Moon

Of the three eclipses which will cccur this year, only one will be visible from New Zealand, It will be a small' partial eclipse of the moon on June 4. At* 4.49 a.m. the moon will- enter the penumbral shadow and the true esclipse will commence at 6.56 a.m., reaching a maximum at 7.15 a.m. The other eclipses not visible in New Zealand will be a total solar eclipse on' May 20, and an annular eclipse of the sun on November 12.
