Oliphant, Australian born authqrity on ato'mic energy, who is making a brief visit to his parents. He bitterly opposes secreey in atomie research, saying that if only part of the £500,000,00(1 wartime allocation for afomic research were sp.ent in peac.etime, the industrialised use of atomie energy would be practicable in flve 7ears.
