Fourthly, there is a need for bettei accommodation. Fil'thly, tlie British want a bettei share of Ihe credit for work they an doing. Amplifying Ihe last eategorv, the correspondent says many Japanese believe British troops are only policemen for the Americans "who are supplying the brains aml proteeting the Japanese from the eruel British, Austraiians Xew Zealanders and Indians". The correspondent adds that as a result of recent complaints tlie standard of botli food and quarters has ro * centlv been improved.
