Juvenile Marching Teams The response from parents to the Horowhenua Marching Association's invitation for members of juvenile teams has so far been good. The association desires to state that the ages for girls in these teams are under eight years and from eight to twelve, not from eight to ten years as previously stated. Here are the deductions to be reckoned upon, if you live out of Wellington. To start with, half-a-crown for the ticket. Then 2d postage on a letter to Wellington ■ enclosing a stamped and addressed envelope — another 2d. Next, £2 10s exchange on Wellington (this is the maximum), and finally, 2d for a receipt stamp — in all, £2 13s. But, should you demand to be paid in "alluvial gold?" That's another story. Just win a prize — any prize — and see what happens when you ask at the bank to he paid in alluvial gold.
