NEW PLYMOUTH, Dee. 26. The weather was line and the going fast for the Iirst day of the Taranaki Joekey Club^ Xmas meeting. There was a large erowd and the totalisator handled £52,397 10s, compared with £46,176 last year. Before the opening of the meeting the judicial eomniittee met to eonsider the question of the ownersliip of San Farian. The committee was of the epinion that the owner, F. Eseott, should be given full opportunity to produce further evidenee of his .ownersliip of the horse ai^d the inquiry was adjourned for fourteeu days.
