TWO DEPARTMENTAL HEADS TO RETIRE

WELLINGTON, Dec. 4. v" The impending retirement of the Director-General of Health, Dr. M. H. Watt, and the Director-General of Mental Hospitals, Dr. L. G. Gray, was announced by the Minister of Health, Mr. Nordmeyer, who said that they had asked to be allowed to retire on superannuation. The Minister said he wished to pay tribute to the outstanding services £>rs. Gra- and Watt had given during their distinguished Public Service careers, startinp- 35 years ago and 32 respectivelv in the departments of which they later became heads.
