R.S.A. CHRISTMAS PARTY
There was an attendance of over ninety children and their parents at the Druids' Hall on Saturday, December 14, for the R.S.A. Christrnas party. The gathering proved an exciting and happy one for the young folk.- Games arid dancing kept young and old well occupied until supper time, when a bounteous repast provided by the ladies was- handed around, followed by soft drinks and ice cream. After supper the vice-president of the R.S.A., Mr. J. Ritchie, in his remarks to those present, said he was very happy to see the, children and the grown-ups, too, thoroughly enjoying themselves. Mr. Richie said that Mr. S. W. Barber was very sorry that he could not be present and join in the fun, but he unfortunately had a prior engagement. At an appropriate time Father Christmas made his appearance, much to the delight of the children, who gave full vent to their excitement. The disposal of presents from the well-laden Christmas tree occupied considerable time, each child receiving a gift and a bag of sweets from Father Christmas, who was assisted by the president of the Women 's section (Mrs. C. Guerin) and the seeretary (Mrs. R. Quinlan). The party was brought to a happy conclusion with the singing of Aulcl Lang Syne.
