MARKET REPORT
Messrs. Townsend and Paul, Ltd., fruit and produce merchants,^ Wellington, report that all varietles of fruits have met with extremeiy keen enquiry during the past week, . supplies so far available being :ar from adcquate. All dessert plnnis hav,e sold readily, while apricots, peaches, cherries and tomatois , have all sold at higher rates. Large quantities of cut flowers have been oft'ered, values remaining steady. Most varieties of vegetables have also been sought, but with warmcr weather prevailing the demand i'or icauliflowers has ceased. Beetroot, peas, beans, cabbage and marrows have all been in demand, while potatoes have been in extremely Ijhort supply. Larger yardings of ' poultry have again been available, | values, however, being maintained I for prime birds.
