He was born at Otaki and his f ather and mother are botn | members of the Ngati Raukawa tribe. At present Inia is living at Ngaruawahia Pah, Waikato, Hamilton being his home town, where his singing ability and rich voice were j noted by leading citizens there. On , several occasions he made broad- ! casts over the radio, especially from 1YA, and sang before their Excellencies, Sir Bernard and Lady Freyberg, during their visit to Auckland or their arrival in New Zealand.
