Sir,— Please may I, on behalf of your Maori people throughout the 1 Horowhenua district, ask you to l publish an appeal to all our fnends, 1 Pakeha and Maori, to assist by J donating towards the fund men- i tioned in the letter from the Mayor J of Hamilton. By the letter, we are J now assured that Inia Te Tewiata ] is deflnitely going to complete his . studies at the Trinity College of Music, England. • , ! Inia belongs to us, Pakeha and . Maori. He was born at Otaki and his f ather and mother are botn | members of the Ngati Raukawa tribe. At present Inia is living at Ngaruawahia Pah, Waikato, Hamilton being his home town, where his singing ability and rich voice were j noted by leading citizens there. On , several occasions he made broad- ! casts over the radio, especially from 1YA, and sang before their Excellencies, Sir Bernard and Lady Freyberg, during their visit to Auckland or their arrival in New Zealand.
