Personal Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wpng and "amily, who have been residents ot' Dtaki for some time, leave today co take up residence in Wellington. Sister Lewis, for some considerable time on duty in Otaki, and who has served through the last two wars with distinction, was recently entertained by the London County Council, when she was presented with a valuable writing i-ase, beautifully fitted up, and also i a nicely-bound war booklet. The remarks which accompanied the gifts were very eulogistic, pleasing reference being made to the exceilent services rendered by the "little nurse." Street Improvement Much needed street improvement is at present being carried out in Otaki, the tar sprayer doing useful work. Rubbish Clean-Up The Otaki Borough Coun^'l's "clean-up" prior to the holidays was carried out yesterday, when a large quantity of rubbish was removed to the dump. Otaki Bus for Levin Competitors and members of the public who are desirous of travelling to Levin for the combined marching display by the Pahiatua and Levin teams, and the athletic, cycling and national dancing events, are reminded that Watts Motors' bus will leave the Otaki Post Office at 6 p.m. sharp. Tlie f are is 2s 6d return and admission to the Levin Park Domain is free, a collection only being taken up.
