Personal Mr. Tim Newton left by air yesterday to spend a holiday in the South Island. Dancing Class Closes The dancing teachers who have been conducting classes in the Parish Hall each Saturday afternoon closed down for the duration of the school holidays last Saturday. Battalion Reunion The 22nd ■ Battalion Old Members' Association advise that a reunion of the Palmerston North branch will be held in the Keillei Hall, Palmerston North Showgrounds, next Saturday evening at 8 p.m. An invitation is extended to all Shannon ex-members of the battalion to attend. Food for Britain The secretary of the Shannon branch of the Returned Services' Association (Mr. E. J. Gunning) told members- at the monthly meeting of the branch, on Saturday evening that he had received advice from the N.Z.R.S.A. headquarters that each branch had been allotted towns in Britain to which food parcels are to be sent. The town allocated to the Shannon branch is Fife, in Scotland. Discussion on what arrangements are to be made in connection with the sending of parcels was held over until the next meeting of the branch.
