Received Tuesdav, S.15 p.m. LOXDOX, Dec. 17. For Ihe second time .'hS-yea r-old Walter Rowland has waiked into the condemned cell at Strangways gaol, Manchaster, says the Daily Mail. Rowland in 1!K!4 was sentenced to death for the inurder of his t wo-year-old daughter Mavis. The jury on that occasion recomniended liiin to niercv aud tlie villagers of his home town, XewinilJs, Derbyshire, petitioned for liis reprieve whieh was -granted.
