Personal Mr. Rex Nicolson, who has been in Australia for over seven years, arrived in Wellington yesterday on the way to his home in Otaki. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Summers and family, who have been in Otaki for the past three years, leave shortly to take up residence in Foxton. They will carry with them the best wishes of many friends. Pension Payments Old age pensions will be paid out at the Otaki Post Office tomorrow, orphans, widows and invalidity pensions on Wednesday "and war veterans and universal superannuation on Thursday. Miss J. Merwood Honoured Opportunity was taken at a suitable juncture during the Horowhenua Marching Association's dance at Levin on Saturday evening to pay tribute to Miss J. Merwood, of Otaki, for services rendered. In making a presentation of a box of handkerchiefs to this popular young Otaki lady, the president of the association, Mr. R. Murray, said that she had done a great deal for the association in many ways in Otaki, and all that was needed was to say "Miss Merwood, will you do this," and it was done. Miss Merwood suitably replied, being greeted with loud applause.
