Fifteen Killed ; 24 Injured FIRE FOtLOWS EXPLOSION

Received Friday, 10.50 a.m. NEW Y ORK, Dec. 12. It is estimated that 15 were killed, 24 injured and 20 trapped in the debris of two buildings followihg a fire and explosion in a ffeezirig plant. The explosion bleviy off the walls of the plant and also the walls of an adjoining seven-storey tenement ih Washingtoh Heights, Manhattan. The explosion is believed to have bee'h cau's^d by the ignition of ammonia tahks- in a disused freezing plant, which shattered the adjoining tenement. More than twenty people hdve already been sent to hospital, and rescuers and firemen are still digging for those. believed to be missing.
