RETIRED PRIEST SENTENCED

Received Friday, 10.20 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 12. Josef Wirt, retired Roman Catholic priest, of Alteglofshim, has been sentenced to five years in • a labour camp and the confiscation of his property, "except that necessary as a means of livelihood," by the Regensburg Denazification Tribunal reports Reuter's Frankfurt' correspondent. The court found that Wirt himself drafted almost all of the thirty affidavits he submitted to clear himself from the charges of Nazi taint. Witnesses said he claimed to be one of the Nafi old guard.
