KETCH REACHES SYDNEY
Received AVednesdav, 10.25 p.m. SYDNEY, Dec. 11. The kcteh Tlex arrived at Svdney today from New Zealand to take part in the Sydney-Hobart oeean yaclit race. The skipper, Alr. N. W. Thoimvs, said the trip at times was too rough for coinfort. "After leaving Wellington we struek heavv seas and the wind reached almost gale force. ATore heavv weather was encountered after leaving Picton. We were in contact with New Zealand every 24 h otira and had an ar- . rangement with the R.N.Z.A.F. that, if wo did not report witliin 48 ltours a search plaue would be sent."
