Permission has now been grant1%*? ^inister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Parry, for the Hororata Racmg Club to hold its annual meetinp- at Riccarton on Saturday Wl-en the application was flrst made for the change from Motukarara to Riccarton, it was refused probably 011 the grounds that there' had been a good deal of raeing in Christchurch. As the Motukarara racecourse was considered unsafe for racing and the Rangiora cpurse is temporarily unsuitable owing to the pupiic stand having' bG6n ^°stroy6d by fire, the Hororata Club would have been . forced to abandon its meeting if it could not have been aeld at Riccarton. \
