Received Tuesday, 7 p.m. LONDCN, Dec. 9. British sporting writcrs consider tliat Mr. C. McConachy lias good prospects of taking the British billiards and snooker tille back to New Zealand. Mr McConachy is playing regularly in pre paration for tlie cliampionships and is doing very well. ''Mr. McConachy is playing superbly just now, and 1 liave a grim feeling tliat he will take the championship home with liim in spite all tliat can be done by our lads, " says Mr. G. Harrison writing in the News of the- World. "Young Mrl F. Davis, Mr. J. Davis' brother, lias set his heart upon taking up where his older brother left off. It would be a remarkable family achievenient if Mr. F. Davis did win, but with Mr. McConachy in the field Britis! hopes eannot be too bright. "
