SILVER CUP TO OTAKI PLAYER
Playing at the musical contests at Chnton, St. J airies' School, Lower Hutt, Helen Southgate, out of ten finalists, won the much-coveted silver cup for the best performance. Helen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Southgate, Otaki, and of her work the judge's final remarks were: "Helen is a mature, talented player and gave an outstanding rendition of her pieces. She will go far in thc musical world."
