SHANNON DEFEAT FOXTON In the competition tennis match played between Shannon and Foxton B grade teams at Shannon on Saturday afternoon, the home team was suecessful ' in winning the match by 14 sets tp 2. There was a g gatherihg on the courts. A most enjoyable afternoon was spent, although light rain at about 4 p.m interrupted play. The next in this series will be played on Thursday afternoon, when it is hoped that better weather conditions will prevail. A full muster of lady members is requested. | On Sunday afternoon a usual iclub day was spent on the courts ! and many members took the qpportunity of spending the delightful sunny afternoon there. Junior members are reminiec that their subscriptions are nov due and must be paid beforc December 20.
