OTAKI LOSE MEXTED CUP GAME
Four rinks from the Otaki Bowling Club visited Paekakariki during ihe weekenF^'pfay f o'f tdie Mexted Cup. The day was glorijusly fine, the green in good order, and interesting games resulted. Each side won two games, but Paekakariki scored 80 points to Otaki's 69 and thus retain the eup. Results were as follows, Otaki rinks being mentioned first in each case: Boggs, Horn, Baker, Grey (s) 20, beat Green, Milne, Sewell, Norgrove (s) 14; Capewell, Jepson, Southgate, Merwood (s) 14, lost to Cartwright. Early. Hanratty, Chris'"ian (s) 25; Walsh, Wilson, Eaton, 1 Rolfe (s) 13, lost to Hopkinson, ! Smith, Roper. Ke'ats (s) 21; Kearns, iNicalson, Mor'on. Pike (s) 22, beat I Peck, McArdle, Peters, Proudfoot ira) 20. ; The president of the Paekakariki : Club (Mr. Green) expressed the hope that the visitors had spent an | enjoyable afternoon. The president of the Otaki Club | (Mr. W. Wilson) assured Mr. Green and members of his club that the Otaki players had greatly enjoyed tho day. The noxt game for the Mexted^ Cup will be played between Paekakariki and Otaki Railway.
