INVERCARGILL, Dee. 9. Tlie Governor-General, Hir Bernard Freyberg, and Ladv Frevberg, arrived iu Invercargill by car from Dunedin to dav. His ExcelJency will hold u public nivestiture in tlie Civie Tlieatre, Invercargill, tomorrow evening, at which insignia, decorations and medals awarded for service in Greece%nd Crete, Nortii Africa, Italy, Western Europe, Pacific and New Zealand, will be presented -t-, approximately 45 members of tlie Armed Forces. This will be the lirst oeension 011 which an investiture has been lield in a jiroviueial emitre. Tliese ceremonies are, usually held at Governmeul House at either Wellington, Auckland, or in Christchurch. During the war years jmhlic investitures have been field in those cities and at Jfunedin. Tlie Governor-General will open the Houth land A. and P. Association 's summer show on Wednesday and will return north on Thursdav.
