FATHER CHRISTMAS TO ARRIVE NEXT SATURDAY Father Christmas will make a preliminary visit to Levin next Saturday evening, having accepted the invitation of the Horowhenua Marching Association to be present at its plain and fancy dress dance, to be held in the Regent Ballroom. In his reply Father Christmas said that he would do all he could to foster the formation of girls'. marching teams, and to show his appreciation of the girls' efforts he has taken the privilege of inviting "Miss Mystery" to be his partner for the night. At zero hour Father Christmas will present a prize to the lucky man who happens to be dancing with "Miss Mystery." . Zero hour will be a mystery, known to the doorkeeper only. Prior to the dance Father Christmas and "Miss Mystery," on their decorated lorry, complete with Christmas tree, will parade behind the girls' marching teams, hea^pd by the Horowhenua Highland Pipe Band, along Oxford Street to" the post office and return to the Regent Hall. Father Christmas will be kept exceedingly busy during the evening as he will have severai gifts to present to the winners of the noveltydances, as well as to the wearer of the best Father Christmas costume and fancy dress, while "Miss Mystery" will present the mystery prizes which are the best ever giyen at a function sucti as this. — Adyt.
