WEEKEND ACCIDENT
BUS LEAVES ROAD AFTER COLLISION WITH CAR While » negotiating a right hand tuni into Koputaroa Road from the Levin-Foxton highway at dusk last night, a car driven by Mr. R. E. Hoare, of Ihakara, was involved in a collision with a bus, which was attempting .to overtake it on the turn. The bus grazed the side of the car then left the road, plunging | '.hrough a wire fence and into a ipaddock. ; The bus, which was proceeding to i Wanganui, had its full complement I of passengers, but it is understood no one was injured. Apart from a broken window, no damage Resulted, and the vehicle was later iable to proceed on its journey. The [car, which was also travelling in a northerly direetion, received only r light damage to a mudguard and door, The driver escaped unscath- ! 3d.
