OTAKI UCENSING BENCH

GRATIFYING REPORT S The quarterly meeting of the Otaki Licensing Bench was held at c.he Levin Coutthouse yesterday. Present: Messrs. A. M. Goulding, S M. (chairman) , R. O. Hornblow, J. w. Rimmer, T. O'Rourke and H. Nicolson. Mr. W. Moynihan was unavoidably absent. Police reports were received on all hotels in the district, tand were vei"V gratifyirig, the chairman commenting on the highly satisfactory conditions of the hotels, adding that the reports were very pleasing. A permanent transfer was granted from J. C. Fitzgerald to A. Watt in respect of the Railway Hotel, Otaki, and from M. F. Robinson to H. A. Marshall in respect of Whyte's Hotel, Foxton. It was stated that Mr. Kelleher (Otaki) had been granted the rights for the publicans' bootbs at the coming Otaki races.
