LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

BUTTER FOR BRITAIN Sir, — Now that the , election is. over, though I was too young to have a vote, I, a pupil of one of the schools near Otaki, would like to voice my complaint to you. As we all know, and are often reminded, England is in- great need of butter. Now, in the school to which I belong, I have ' se'en ' considerable waste of milk. Knowing that this • milk makes butter, and that to tip part of a bottle down the drain is simply a crime, I hope that my .small effort at bringing this to your notice may bring more butter for Britain. Yours etc., "PUPIL." Otaki, Dec. 5.
