CALF CLUB JUDGING
MANY FINE ENTRIES There was a large gathering of parents and friends at the judging of the Shannon .School calf club entries, which took place at the local school on Monday afternoon. The entries were very good and some excellent calves were on display before the judges. „ In his remarks following the announcing of the winners, the judge, Mr. Catley, o'f Ohau, said that he was very pleased with the entries, although some were looked after too well and over-fea. On the whole the entri'cs were quitc good and he congratulated the winners. Thc results were as follows: — Senior: Oaro and attention: June Tcague 1, Norah Sell 2, Beverly Easton 3. Dairy type: Norah, Seli 1, Errol Saundeivs 2, Arthur Clough 3. Junior.— Care and attention: Margaret Redsliaw 1, Mary Redshaw 2, Joyce Mason 3. Dairy Company Cup. for the best. :i]l round calf. — Norah. Sell 1, Mary Redshaw 2, Margaret Redshaw 3. Yrarling competition (special prizes). — Brent Bowler 1, Rex Easton 2, George Kennard 3.
