WELLINGTON, Uec. 5. Tlie offieial eounts of votes in the majority of the 76 European eleetorates started today and many should be completed by the weekend. Aecording to advice received so far, the eounts in two Wellington eleetorates will be linished on Thursday and the fate of tlie Otaki seat where only II votes seperate the National and Labour candidates, will be decided by the end of the week. | Outstanding votes in the Otaki electorate number 1122. The original cstimate that outstanding votes would average little over SU0 for eaeh electorate was far too conservative for today returns liave been received from 67 eleetorates and the average was 1020.
