Britain is about to enter a ten-year militury pact with the U'nited States under which the British Army will he "merged" with the Atneriean, says tlie Oommniiist ]>aper Ihe Daily Worker. Tlie Pact will operate as soon as Field Marslial Alexander takes over as Minister of Dofenro. General Sir William Xlorgan, otfeer commanding the Mediterranean, is going to Wash ington at the end of tlie y.ear as head of the mission to put the seheme into operation.
