HALL SHIELD CRICKET
OLD BOYS BEAT COLLEGE B Old Boys again won their match on Saturday when they accounted for College B in the Hall Shield cricket competition. College batted first and made a total of 59, Dorne, Close, Hamilton and Judd all contributing seven each. Juno took two wickets for three runs and R. Lynch three for three. Old Boys replied with a good total of 175, Sciascia retiring at 42, Juno at 39 and Lancaster at 38. Sciascia has been concinually high on the batting average list, and should have no trouble in being selected for the representative teams as he is also a sound wicke't-keeper. Hamilton took three for 64. In their second innings College made 23; Chappell with 11 was the only double-figure scorer. V. Lynch took two wickets for none and Symonds three for two. Win for Weraroa Weraroa defeated College A at Weraroa by a comfor table margin, Weraroa batted first- and compiled a total of 80 runs, Ryder being the most prominent batsman with 30. Bowlmg for College, McClune took five wickets for 32 runs. College, in their first innings, made 36, McClune bein^- top-scorer with six. Saunders took six for 19. Weraroa went in again and declared at three for 50, Ryder and Kingsbeer each making 19. McClune took all three wickets at a low cost. In the second innings College made 56;
Sciascia with 15 was the only double-figure scorer. Saunders again bowled well to take -five wickets for six runs.
