UNION SECRETARY KILLED IN MOTOR CRASH

GREYMOUTH, Dec. 1. John Josepli (.'rocks, union secretarv, married, aged 42, of Greymouth, died shortly after admission to the Grey Kiver Hospital on Saturday night after being involved in a motor accident when returning to Greymouth from the Reefton raees. The car, driven by Mr. Crooks, overtumed on a straiglit about three miles north of Ahaura, the driver • receiving severn head injuries. The ■ three passengers in the car, George Sherwood Kirk, Alexander Gilibs and Thomas TJeter Dunn, received slight injuries not necessitating admission to, the hospital. The inquest opened today before iU. M. .T. Fogarty, Coroner, and was adjourned sine die.
