WAIROA, Dec. 2. Parie O'Brien White, the nine-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack White, of Opoutama', was accidentally drowned on Saturday night. The lad, with a number of other young people, was swimming at the back of the store at Opoutama, when he was caught in the undertow and washed out to sea, the body being recovercd yesterday morning on the rocks in close proximity to the scene of tfie fatality. Two lads, both aged nine, Robin Rarere and Raymond Tauriiu. ehdeavoured to save him, but they too, were caught in the u'ndertow and had to release their hold.
