Pcrsonal - Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Berry, who have been residents of Otaki for ! some time, left today to take up residence at Waipukurau, where the former has been appointed postmaster. Tennis Team The foliowing will represent the Otaki Tennis Club in a. match with Koputaroa at Otaki on Saturdav, piay commencing at 12.30 p.m. : Mrs. Bell, Misses V. Taylor, M. Taylor and B. D'Ath, and Messrs. C. Atmore, E. Jepson, B. Ryder and B. H. Rhodes. Donation of £10 All Saints' vestry, Otaki, on behalf of the parishioners, has made a donation of £10 to St. James' Parish, Lower Hutt, having in mind the urgency of the situation in the Hutt Valley, eaused by the lack of adequate church buildings in the new housing settlements. Otaki Sports The otaki A.A. and C. Club will open its season on Wednesday evening next when a full programme of running and cycling events will be held. Last season the club provided many enjoyabie evenings, and it is hoped that even greater success will attend its efforts this year. The club is to have the backing of Levin sports. Railway Bowling Club At a general meeting of the Otaki Railway Bowling Club on Tuesday evening it was decided to wind up the club. There was not one dissentient. Otaki Railway will play Raumati on Saturday afternoon for the Country pennants. The games will take place on the Railway green. The Otaki Railway and the Levin Central Clubs will play games at the weekend on the Railway Club's green. Play will ■ start at 2 p.m.
