VISIT TO DOMINION After acting as New Zealand naval affairs ofiicer in London for 2(5 years, Mr. S. ,R. Skinner is paving his first visit to the Dominion in the Waiwera, which sailed last week. Known to hundreds of New Zealand sailors and manv men of the Roval Navy, Air. Skinner has been directlv concerned ,with the recommissioliilig and rehu ing of all cruisers serving in New Zealaud waters. since IT.Af.S, Ghatham sailed in 192(5 to forni the New Zealand Division. He was also present when the Dunedin, the Diomede. the Leander, the Achilles, the Gamhia, and the Beltona subsequently sailed for the Dominion, and has been intimately concerned with the vnrious stages leading to~ t-h-e development of the Roval New Zealand Navv. Afr. Skinner nearly visited New Zealand 20 vears dgo nt the snggeslion of tlie late Rf. Hon. .T. G. Goatos. but was unable to loave at the last minute.
